General Description
The APX809/810 are used for microprocessor ( µP) su pervisory
circuits to monitor the power supplies in µP and digital systems.
They prov ide excellent circuit r eliability an d low cost by
eliminating e xternal components and a djustments w hen used
with +5V, +3.3V, +3.0V powered circuits.
These circu its p erform a single fu nction: t hey assert a reset
signal whenever the VCC supply voltage declines below a p reset
threshold, kee ping it a sserted fo r at le ast 240ms a fter VCC ha s
risen ab ove the r eset th reshold. Re set t hresholds suitab le for
operation w ith a v ariety o f supp ly voltages are av ailable. T he
APX809/810 have push pull outputs. The APX809 have an active
low RESET output, while th e A PX810 has an a ctive hig h
RESET output. The reset co mparator is de signed to ig nore fast
transients o n V CC, a nd the ou tputs are guaranteed to be in th e
correct logic state for VCC down to 1V. Low supply current makes
the APX 809/810 i deal fo r use i n portable equ ipment. The
APX809/810 is a vailable in a 3 -pin S OT23 a nd S OT23R
packages.
